Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 11 Pro series in March 2022. The company launched the Redmi Note 11 Pro 4G and Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus 5G as its two mid-range smartphones under the Redmi Note 11 Pro series. The next generation of Note series smartphones have been launched and details have surfaced online a few weeks ago.

Xiaomi has started work on the upcoming Redmi Note 12 lineup of smartphones. It’s been a long time since the Redmi Note 11 series launched in China, and we’re now guessing it’s time for the next Note 12 lineup. Pointing to this, the two devices that could be launched under the Note 12 series are now listed on the TENAA certification. Let’s take a closer look at them.

According to the digital chat station, two devices with Xiaomi’s model numbers 22041216C and 22041216UC are listed on TENAA certification. Both models were first spotted on the website of the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (CMIIT). These devices are said to be part of the upcoming Redmi Note 12 lineup.

The TENAA listing reveals that both the Note 12 Pro series devices come with a 6.6-inch display. We can expect the devices to come with an AMOLED display with full HD + resolution and 120Hz refresh rate support.

The Note 12 Pro will pack a 4980 mAh battery, which will be marketed as a 5000 mAh battery. The 12 Pro + model will pack a small 4300 mAh battery. The thickness of both devices is 8.8 mm. They will run Android 12 out of the box and there will be a layer of MIUI 13 on top of Android.

Redmi Note 12 Pro appears in two storage options. Its base model has 128 GB internal storage with 6 GB RAM. There is also the option of 8 GB RAM, which will come with 256 GB of internal storage. The Pro + model is expected to come with the same storage configuration.

Other than the details above, TENAA’s list does not reveal any other details about the two smartphones in the Redmi Note series. Online reports suggest that Xiaomi may choose MediaTek’s high-end chipsets for its Redmi Note 12 series smartphones. The company can choose MediaTek’s Density 8100 SoC or Dimensity 8000 SoC.

The Redmi Note 12 series could make its debut in China later this year. The company usually updates the note lineup in September or October. Therefore, the Note 12 series could make its debut in China in September this year. The India launch event could take place in the first quarter of 2023.
